India & Kumbh Mela 2025

The Kumbh Mela is quite simply the greatest festival on Earth. Happening on a twelve year schedule it returns to the most revered location in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) every 12 years for the most auspicious of festivals. This time around some 650 Million people attended over the six weeks - an unprecedented gathering of humanity in the entire history of the World.The reason for such an out-pouring of devotion was an alignment of the stars that only occurs once every 144 years. We also visited Haridwar and Rishikesh in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas as well as Lucknow, Varanasi and the Corbett National Park.
